StormTeam10 Forecast

Jeff Haniewich

Hello!  We did enjoy another beautiful day across the area on Tuesday, with hazy sunshine and very warm temperatures!  Southside even made it above 70 degrees!  However, that area of high pressure that has brought us the very nice weather is now exiting out in the Atlantic Ocean, allowing a low pressure system to move closer.  For tonight, expect the clouds to roll in and it will be a mild night with lows in the middle 40s.  A stray shower cannot be ruled out, but will be few and far between.  Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a few showers possible, nothing significant.  It will stay very warm with highs in the mid-to-upper 60s.  Thursday through Saturday all look overcast with periods of rain.  There could even be a few storms on Friday afternoon and evening.  Because of the likelihood of heavy rain, the National Weather Service has already issued a Flood Watch for Pocahontas and Greenbrier Counties in West Virginia from Thursday evening through Saturday.  There will some breaks in the rain, so it will not rain for 72 hours in a row.  Temperatures will top out near 60 on Thursday, the middle 60s on Friday, and the upper 50s on Saturday.  We should see a little more sun on Sunday, even though there is still the chance for a few mountain showers.  Highs will reach the upper 50s.  There is still a slight chance for a shower or two on Monday and Tuesday under partly sunny skies.  It will be a little cooler with highs in the low-to-mid 50s.  Have a great night!
